Adaptive Building Solutions, LLC., is a sustainable green building company based in Ann Arbor, MI. Adaptive’s mission is to promote quality, sustainable green building practices and clean environments.

I was first introduced to sustainable green building in 1997 while living and working in San Francisco, CA. At the time, green building was just in its infancy. Nine years later, in 2006, I formed my company. Fast forward to 2010 and sustainable green building is finally starting to take off right here in Ann Arbor, MI. Adaptive’s first LEED Platinum home was completed in November of 2009. This is an exciting time to be a professional builder. New access to affordable and sustainable green building technology is changing the direction of the entire building industry.

There are a few key principles that drive our company’s success:

• Sustainable green building is about good planning.
• Keeping costs down is about good management.
• Understanding sustainable green building technology is about good education.
• A conscious effort to recycle materials and manage waste is about good values.
• And the concept of giving back more than you receive is about good karma.

We are a small and well educated team of building professionals that live true to these principles on a daily basis.

To paraphrase Charles Darwin: "for any species to survive in this constantly changing world, it must adapt to its environment." I named my company Adaptive Building Solutions because I am committed to environmentally sustainable green building practices for our future.
